Delete your account
Ibidem is run by Ryonix Labs Inc.
The short version. Reading Ibidem never needed an account, so you can
delete yours and keep using the map. It takes two taps, happens straight away, and cannot be
undone.
In the app — iPhone, iPad or Android
- Open Ibidem and tap the passport button on the right to open Your places.
- At the bottom, next to your email address, tap Delete account.
- Read what goes, then tap Delete for good.
On the web
At ibidem.app, sign in, open Your places, and use Delete account
at the bottom of the panel. Writers can also delete from the header of
desk.ibidem.app.
Can't sign in any more?
Write to [email protected]
from the address the account uses, and say you want it deleted. We delete it within 30 days,
usually much sooner, and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in, email address and name, and every session on every device.
- Your stamps, saved stories, figure, hats and characters.
- Your pet, its trips and its postcards.
- Everything you left on the map: flowers, trees, lightboards, buried capsules and bottles.
- Stories you drafted on the desk and never published.
What stays
- Stories you published stay on the map without your name. Ask us by email if you
want them taken down too.
- Something you found belongs to the person who left it: a capsule or bottle you dug
up or opened stays theirs, with nothing that points to you.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple, Google or Stripe under their own rules. On our
side only the payment's reference number stays, for our accounts, with nothing that links it to
you or to what it bought.
